Self Published Science Fiction Competition
The Created was a clever mix of alien species and technology. It is a fast read and will definitely get the mind thinking about what technology could be used for in the future. It is an enjoyable read, even if it the parts were very distinct in the writing and feel. And once in a while, it might be necessary to check that potted plant that seems to be moving when you’re not watching it.
A fast standalone read, with a normal character trying to outthink the world just so he can be free. It is not science heavy, allowing for all types of readers to enter into its world and find the hope amidst the chaos of a frantic pursuit. It will make readers think about what would happen to them if they happened to be abducted and thrust into a world that was previously hidden to them. Overall, a pretty decent adventure that will keep people guessing right up to the very end.

Escapist Book Co. is entering the fray and signing on to be a judge for this years SPSFC! What’s the SPSFC, you ask? It stands for Self Published Science Fiction Competition and, well, it’s just what it says it is! Born out of the desire to have a science fiction equivalent to Mark Lawrence’s SPFBO (Self Published Fantasy Blog Off) and hosted by Hugh Howey and Duncan Swan, the SPSFC is entering its second year!
