Review: Eleventh Cycle (Mistland #1) by Kian N Ardalan
This is a book that will sit in a readers mind for a very long time. There are a number of people who Mr. Ardalan could be compared to, but I believe he has set a mark that makes him stand alone, a true defining moment. It is beautiful, it is jaw dropping, it is a book that will have many talking and thinking even after reading the final words. I eagerly await the second installment, though I will visit this world again with a reread, just so that I can once again become immersed in this beautifully dark world.
Review: The Fantastically Underwhelming Epic of a Dead Wizard and an Average Bard by Kian N Ardalan
This is definitely a story that will fit for those who want a deep story with some moments of humor. It also shows that it possible to take traditional fantasy themes and tell them in a new and modern take that will keep a reader returning for more. The monsters within the pages are also creatures that will stick with you, maybe even haunting the dreams of the reader. This was a stellar debut novel and launches Kian Ardalan to the list of authors to watch!
Review: The Fantastically Underwhelming Epic of a Dead Wizard and an Average Bard by Kian N. Ardalan
I cannot recommend this book enough. If you are a lover of all things fantasy, then you will absolutely adore this story. It is a big cosy fantasy hug of a book – packed with action, adventure, emotion, some dark moments balanced with good humour, and fantastic characters you will love. If you are looking for a standalone fantasy epic that really does have it all, then look no further. You will be far from underwhelmed.
