I am so thrilled to be a small part of the announcement for Al Hess’ newest project to be published by the awesome team over at Angry Robot, Key Lime Sky! If, like me, you’ve been eating up every tiny crumb Al has been dropping about this book over the past several months, then you’ll be super stoked to know that I have some really cool art from Al himself down below to help introduce the books characters, as well as an official(?) blurb!

SFF Book Recs for Autism Acceptance Month
I’ve been on a journey of rediscovery since I found out I’m autistic. Armed with the knowledge that I’m not as alone as I felt, I’ve been trying to learn more about myself and how my mind works. Through this, I’ve come across some excellent SFF books that are either written by autistic authors or feature autistic characters. I believe that reading is one of the most powerful methods of building empathy and, as it is Autism Acceptance Month, I would like to share (in no particular order) a list of recommended SFF reads with you.

Review: World Running Down by Al Hess
World Running Down is a post-apocalyptic meet cute that doesn’t shy away from asking the big questions. The characters are expertly written and it’s, dare I say, impossible not to empathize with their struggles and cheer on their victories. What I think I love best about it though is the pervading sense of hope throughout; World Running Down is about good people doing their best to survive in a world that’s just trying to get by, by acting with love and compassion. That’s powerful.
