Review: The Many Shades of Midnight by C.M. Debell
The Many Shades of Midnight is a solid standalone debut novel, with an important message at its heart – one that is directly linked to our own real world issues. If you’re looking for a standalone fantasy, with complex characters, told with a fresh new voice, then this is well worth your time.
Review: Bloodlines (The Guardian of Empire City #1) by Peter Hartog
Bloodlines is a blend of science-fiction, urban fantasy, and paranormal—three genres I happen to love. Add to the mix a good mystery to solve, and I’m a happy reader.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: The Many Shades of Midnight by C.M. Debell
The Many Shades of Midnight asks hard questions and offers even harder answers. No punches are pulled as the story comes to a bittersweet and satisfying ending. Full of tension, political intrigue, and characters you will hate to love and love to hate, C.M. Debell has written a fantastic stand-alone fantasy novel that left me with both closure and a want for more. This is a novel I will not soon forget and will think about for quite a while.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: The Price of Power (The Price of Power #1) by Michael Michel
The Price of Power is a slow burn, character driven, dark and epic fantasy. With a world steeped in history and lore, fascinating magic, terrifying villains (The Madness is a new favorite of mine) and characters you can relate to, if not eventually love. Michael Michel is on to something special here and I cannot wait to see what he has in store for us next.
Review: Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle #1) by Jay Kristoff
A fascinating read for a number of reasons, with some dark and brutal content. This was an excellent book one.
Book Tour/Review: Stargun Messenger by Darby Harn
There’s plenty of action, betrayal, intrigue, found family, epic battles, and something of a romance too. It’s everything you could hope for from a space opera.
Review: Blood Reunion (Hybrid Helix #3) by J.C.M. Berne
Blood Reunion might be my favorite of the series so far. More battles (some in space!), more danger, and more Rohan.
Review: Return of the Griffin (Hybrid Helix #2) by J.C.M. Berne
This was an insanely entertaining read, and a great second book in the series.
Review: Wistful Ascending (Hybrid Helix #1) by J.C.M. Berne
If you like science fiction/space opera with superhero-type characters, crazy battles, and humor, definitely check out this book.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: The Talisman of Delucha (The Relics of War #2) by A.J. Calvin
If you loved The Moon’s Eye, chances are you’re going to love The Talisman of Delucha just as much, if not more. With higher stakes, bigger battles and higher emotions, A.J. Calvin avoids middle-book-syndrome by allowing the story and characters to naturally grow while still maintaining a break neck pace. The Talisman of Delucha truly delivers the EPIC in epic fantasy.
Review: Bared Magic (Woodland Curses #1) by Sara R. Cleveland
It’s the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story recreated into an adult fantasy with a bit of romance. This was a really cute read!
