There’s a song by Weezer called Heart Songs. In it, Rivers Cuomo sings about the songs that speak to his heart, that marked important moments in his life, or that helped shape him into the person he is. My Heart is a Chainsaw is my heart book. My new comfort read. My favorite book published in the past ten or so years. Maybe even longer. It reminds me that I’m not alone, that horror is awesome, and it’s just a bloody good time.

Review: Aestus Book 2: The Colony (Aestus #2) by S.Z. Attwell
Aestus: The Colony was on par with the first book (The City), in terms of storytelling and writing quality.
This was a great sequel and conclusion to the Aestus series.
Review: The Bloody Chorus by John Marco
Somehow, despite the enormous shoes it has to fill and the massive weight of all my expectations, The Bloody Chorus managed to exceed them all! It’s everything I love about Marco’s style of writing and more. There honestly couldn’t be a better return for one of my favorite writers. Marco is simply a master when it comes to nailing characterization, worldbuilding, and plot, and The Bloody Chorus is the best proof of that so far. I cannot wait for the next book to come out and I hope that the author gets all of the attention and praise he has always deserved.
Review: The Master of Night (The Warriors of Bhrea #2) by T.M. Kohl
The Master of Night picks up right where The Lost King left off, and was a great continuation of the series.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: Heliotrope by Palmer Pickering
Heliotrope will grab your heart and not let go until well after you’ve turned the final page. A wonderful quest with beautiful prose and great characters, prepare to lose yourself in this epic fantasy.
Review: The Stones of Valtara (For the Love of the Gods #1) by Christopher Clargo
A Celtic-inspired fantasy and a great setup for the beginning of a series.
Review: Third Front (Dalí Tamareia #3) by E. M. Hamill
Third Front is a fantastic conclusion to this trilogy, leaving some doors ajar which could mean a return for Dalí and her found family in future missions… I would read more from this universe and its characters in a heartbeat.
