A fascinating read for a number of reasons, with some dark and brutal content. This was an excellent book one.

BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: The Talisman of Delucha (The Relics of War #2) by A.J. Calvin
If you loved The Moon’s Eye, chances are you’re going to love The Talisman of Delucha just as much, if not more. With higher stakes, bigger battles and higher emotions, A.J. Calvin avoids middle-book-syndrome by allowing the story and characters to naturally grow while still maintaining a break neck pace. The Talisman of Delucha truly delivers the EPIC in epic fantasy.
Review: Bared Magic (Woodland Curses #1) by Sara R. Cleveland
It’s the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story recreated into an adult fantasy with a bit of romance. This was a really cute read!
Review: Conqueror’s Blood (Gunmetal Gods Saga #2) by Zamil Akhtar
While reading (and re-reading) Gunmetal Gods, book 1 in the Gunmetal Gods saga, I didn’t think the story could get any more compelling. Boy, was I wrong! Conqueror’s Blood takes everything that I loved about Book 1 and makes it even better.
Review: Platinum Tinted Darkness (The Legacy of Boulom #1) by Timothy Wolff
With extensive worldbuilding and lore, memorable characters, and a series of untrustworthy gods, this is an entertaining read – and a great debut novel.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: Curse of the Fallen (Fallen Light #1) by H.C. Newell
I’ll just get this out of the way, I love this book so fucking much. H.C. Newell has tapped into something here that just worked for me. The world is fascinating, the lore is immersive and the characters are fantastic.
Review: The Skin (Black Hind’s Wake #1) by J.E. Hannaford
The Skin is a very accomplished debut, that I have thought frequently about since finishing it. It’s a story that will get under your skin, and linger long in the memory afterwards… I can’t wait to get to the sequel.
Review: Of Shade and Shadow: The Exiled (A Daughter’s Ransom #1) by Niamh and Rebecca Schmid
The story bounces between two viewpoints: Astra, a half-elven princess with a rare and dangerous magical gift, and Louko, the youngest prince of a different land.
This book definitely has a YA-feel, and was a quick and entertaining read.
BOOK REVIEW: The Moon’s Eye (The Relics of War #1) by A.J. Calvin
An epic fantasy that brings you back to the classic stories of the 80’s and 90’s, but with plenty of modern and original twists, The Moon’s Eye is an excellent start to The Relics of War trilogy. With intriguing and lovable protagonists, frightening and brutal villains and an incredibly well built world, A.J. Calvin has crafted a solid launching point to what looks to be a fantastic fantasy trilogy.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: The Headlock of Destiny (Titan Wars #1) by Samuel Gately
The Headlock of Destiny has the feel of a passion project and the author’s excitement is palpable. This is what happens when someone writes the book they want to read, damn the naysayers and it pays off immensely. And the ending had me buying the sequel right away.
Review: Legacy of the Brightwash (Tainted Dominion #1) by Krystle Matar
Dark and gritty, with memorable characters, Legacy of the Brightwash was a great read.
Review: Keepers & Destinies (Keepers & Destinies #1) by Carl F. Brothers
A dystopian fantasy set in modern times, this book has a very interesting take on the conflict between Heaven and Hell, angels and demons.
