Bonds of Chaos (Threadlight #3) by Zack Argyle

August 9, 2022 by Jordan Leave a Comment

A fitting end to a fantastic trilogy. Once again we are shown this fantastic world from the views of the characters that we have come to love and admire over the course of the previous two books. It picks up right from where the previous book had ended, the action immediately keeping the reader engaged and on the edge of their seat. The family ties that are so dominant are strengthened in all of the ways that they deserve to be. The war that will happen for the reader is the question of if they should eat or sleep versus just pushing through in one sitting.

The Hellborn King (The Hellborn King Saga #1) by Christopher G. Brenning

August 3, 2022 by Jordan Leave a Comment

The Hellborn King is a great dark tale of blood and war. It may look like a big book but the story itself flies as if flung from the biggest trebuchet ever built. It will pull you into the depths of the world and refuse to let go from the very beginning in a stunning and breathtaking way. I read the prologue twice, it was that good. If you are looking for a dark book with unforgiving characters, then you have found the perfect match.

The Hand That Casts The Bone (The Vanguard Chronicles #2) by H.L. Tinsley

July 28, 2022 by Jordan Leave a Comment

Once again I truly enjoyed my time in this world. It is brutal. It is dark. It is great gaslamp fantasy! The character work of each and every one is profound, as they all have their motives for what they do. It is a great aspect that allows the world and characters become even more real. I eagerly await to once again immerse myself in the world of Vanguard and his associates. You may not have noticed how good it is, but the tabby definitely reminded you.

Stones of Light (Threadlight #2) by Zack Argyle

July 22, 2022 by Jordan Leave a Comment

If there were ever a vote for perfect sequel, this would be right at the top of my list! It beautifully continues right from where book 1 ended and continues without allowing a reader to catch their breath. It adds to everything in exactly the way that could be hoped for. It is exciting, full of intrigue, deception and more. This is the type of fantasy book that I am looking for to intrigue the mind and keep me turning the pages without a thought to what time it might be.

A Blade For Hire by Christopher D Brand

July 22, 2022 by Jordan Leave a Comment

A Blade For Hire is perfect for those who really like straight forward action. The ending will have a twist that will be a shock to many as well. With a mix of religious style politics, it gives off a vibe that will relate to those who like The Three Musketeers and other similar stories. The author has a lot of potential and I look forward to see what he can do with the world he has created in books to come.

Review: The Third Crossing (War of the Last Day #0) by Karim Soliman

July 12, 2022 by Jordan Leave a Comment

The Third Crossing is an interesting book full of magic and backstabbing. It focuses on two main POV characters that have their own story until they unexpectedly come crashing together. Both plot lines are interesting and have their own perils to keep the reader interested and wanting to know more. There were times I was taken by surprise with what was happening on the pages.
