Review: To a Fungus Unknown (The Biomass Conflux #2) by William C. Tracy
I enjoyed the first book from a scientific perspective and I still love the concept of a sentient fungus. As a sequel, this was a good one—and I think I liked it even more than book one.
Review: Dragonfired (The Dark Profit Saga #3) by J. Zachary Pike
If you like D&D/MMO vibes, I encourage you to check out The Dark Profit Saga (Dragonfired is book 3.) It’s a ton of fun.
Review: Bound in Blood (Mythos #2) by Mark Jonathan Runte
If you like mythology, Greek or otherwise, check this series out. They’re quick reads with a modern spin on some of the classic characters. Bound in Blood is book 2.
Review: Lord and King (The Drowned Kingdom Saga #3) by P.L. Stuart
Lord and King is a great continuation of P.L. Stuart’s epic fantasy series. I’ll be watching for book 4.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: Credible Threats (Sam Adams #1) by Daniel Meyer
All in all, Credible Threats is a wonderful urban fantasy that brings plenty of new and fun ideas to the genre while paying tribute to the greats that came before. With a great stand-alone story and some good set-up for future threats, Daniel Meyer has written a damn near perfect book one that did exactly what it was supposed to do, left me needing more.
Review: The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
I can see why this book was considered so groundbreaking at the time of its publication. While this isn’t a new book, I believe much of it is still relevant today.
If you haven’t read The Left Hand of Darkness and enjoy science fiction, I recommend you give this book a try.
Review: Silver & Salt (Mythos #1) by Mark Jonathan Runte
A novella featuring territorial shapeshifters, figures from mythology, and a story that spans centuries, this was a fascinating read.
Review: Obsidian: Awakening (Obsidian #1) by Sienna Frost
A beautifully written tale of grimdark fantasy, with complex politics set in a brutal world.
Review: Path of the Warrior (Keverynn Trilogy #1) by Melissa Stone
A unique epic/portal fantasy with expansive worldbuilding.
BOOK TOUR/REVIEW: Sea of Souls (Sea of Souls Saga #1) by N.C. Scrimgeour
Sea of Souls has a unique take on selkie mythology and a wonderful cast of characters, laying the foundation for what promises to be a great series.
