Could you please introduce yourself to our readers?
Welp, I always thought my name was Rolo, but everybody called me Stitch for a real long time. I found out my name is actually Dermit. Dermit Muldoon. So that’s what folks call me. I don’t let nobody call me Stitch no more, so keep that in mind during this…whatever this is.
What music do you listen to?
Music ain’t really my thing, but I like a good toe tapper. Usually whatever comes on the radio I’m fine with. Don’t like New Vaxen Jazz though. That S*!t makes me wanna kill somebody and I’m really tryin’ not to do that.
What are 3 items you can’t live without?
My pistols…it’s a twin set so I count that as one. My ship, the Meluka. And I got a nice sweater on Gardena station a while back that’s real soft. Oh and…nevermind that’s three right?
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what is one thing you’d like to have with you?
I ain’t gettin’ stranded nowhere! You think I can’t get myself out of a spot of trouble?! That’s a stupid question!
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Folks that ask me too many questions.
What do you do in your free time?
I like to play Valuk with Bevil or sometimes Nan. I like watchin’ a good movie or show.
What makes you want to get out of bed in the morning?
Whadya mean? I get out of bed cuz my brain tells me it’s time to get out of bed. Who doesn’t want to get out of bed? You’re done sleepin’ get up and get about your business.
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Nan told me that I’m not dumb I’m just uneducat…unedu…I don’t remember the word but she says if I stay patient and stop following my instinct to punch folks, machines, robots and bulkheads when I get upset I can learn like anybody else. So that’s what I’m doin’. If I’m confused I take a breath and either ask a question or write it down…I still punch the bulkheads when nobody’s lookin’ sometimes.
What do you carry in your bag?
That ain’t none of your business. That’s my stuff!
What’s your favorite animal?
I like them weird lookin’ jellyfish lookin’ things that float around in the clouds on Turbit, couldn’t keep one as a pet but they’re pretty nifty to watch. Fer eatin’ though I like fish best.
What do you think about Bevil and Nan?
Bevil’s a good guy for a Drift- I mean Star Folk fella. You wouldn’t think a guy like him and a guy like me would get along but we do. Started out kinda rough cuz I was tryin’ to kill him, but we’re all square now. Nan is great. She’s a bit weird but we get along real nice and we’re happy.
Do you have a favorite saying?
Fair is Fair.
What is your favorite holiday?
My birthday, now that I know when it is.
If you could go anywhere in the galaxy, where would you go and why?
There’s this little moon, got great fishin’ and campin’. Ain’t really on the charts so you ain’t gonna find it, but I can give you the coordinates and you can go check it out, just be careful ‘bout them Phaedra….I don’t like them one bit.
What do you do to relax?
I like practicin’ with my sword, ain’t no point in gettin’ rusty with that even if Bevil says I don’t need to..
What is your favorite food?
Peach collapse yum yum.
What is your favorite season?
We’re in space, we ain’t got no seasons, even I know that.
How would you define happiness?
Huh? I don’t know…not bein’ sad I guess.
What are you passionate about?
My ship. The Starlite. Nan.
How do you feel about your government?
Ha!
If you could change one thing about the Earth Alliance, what would it be?
They’re always tryin’ to poke their nose in everybody’s business. I’d get them to stop that if I could.
What’s your biggest secret?
I’m a big reader.
What do you hate?
Slavers. I got me a special stranglin’ chain fer them since Bevil and Nan say it’s all right to want to kill slavers.
What’s your biggest fear?
I ain’t afraid of nothin! And anybody told you I was is a liar! Next question!…maybe Phaedra…but I ain’t scared, just don’t like ‘em.
What do you think your best quality is?
I can make eggs pretty good.
How would you describe the world you live in?
It really ain’t half bad.

Jonathan Latt was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He has lived overseas, traveled the world and has seen and done many wonderful and stupid things. He currently resides on a small farm where he spends his days writing and his nights tending to his sumptuous crop of memes. Jonathan believes in the inherent goodness within all people and that Han shot first.
